We build SaaS products that support electronic trading, brokerage operations, risk management, and financial data analysis. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in Software Engineering to join our team and lead the unification of our data platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Databricks.
• Implement and manage Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines to seamlessly ingest data from source systems into the data platform.
• Design and evolve data models using the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) within the Databricks Lakehouse.
• Provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and Spark jobs to guarantee high performance, reliability, and data quality at scale.
• Take full ownership of pipeline development end-to-end, communicating directly with stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and product teams as we expand into analytics, dashboards, ML/AI, and real-time processing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of overall software/data engineering experience, with a solid foundation as a Software Engineer who transitioned into data.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and scaling ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark and Databricks.
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing Change Data Capture (CDC) and streaming pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of Databricks Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, and dimensional data modeling (Star Schema, Kimball).
• Practical experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform.
• High level of autonomy and accountability — ability to own tasks from ideation through to completion.
• Strong product mindset with a clear understanding of business value.
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

• Financial domain knowledge (capital markets, brokerage, or trading operations).
• Hands-on experience with Apache Beam or Apache Flink.
